Channel 4 is launching a new All 4 identity,
which will represent all of Channel 4’s
digital output and replace the 4oD branding.
Channel 4 says the new identity has
been created by its 4Creative team,
working with Magpie Studio and
We Are Seventeen, while the overall
branding has been developed by
4Creative and We Are Seventeen.
Channel 4 says the new branding is
"derived from the iconic Lambie-Nairn
Channel 4 logo”.

Not entirely sure about this redesign.
Firstly without trying to be too
negative. The brand marque just feels
like the original. Skewed on its side and
the colours swapped around. Replacing
the faces with white to give it a modern
feel works well. But I am not convinced
that this is all that original, and I expect
the general public will agree.
That said, it does tie in nicely with all
the video graphics used in Channel
fours interludes for want of a better term, and also keeps some heritage
from the original identity which lets
face it was great in its day.
I will be interested to see it working
on the goggle box, no doubt I will be
singing its praises in a short while
when the video geeks get their hands
on it and make it do some clever
things prior to my favourite
Its always tricky to comment on a design at the outset, until you see it
in its entirety in application.
